Come 8th May, the newly refurbished Golden Cinemas will see a second facelift after opening doors to the public as The Projector. The minimalistic cinema foyer will see a brand new transformation into a 80 seater café/bistro, offering an eclectic mix of brunch, cinema snacks, mains and of course alcohol.
And to pay homage to the Golden cinemas of yesteryear, the café/bistro will be birthed as The Golden Bar. Operated by the same people behind PARK @ Holland Village and IKKI IZAKAYA, Golden will bring with it a new experience amidst the hustle at Golden Mile.
Behind the 7 m long yellow chevron bar, Golden will be serving up brews featuring locally roasted beans from Tiong Hoe Coffee. And just to throw in a little bit of local breakfast flavor, Golden will be mixing up a batch of its very own kaya to serve with scones and toast.
The eclectic menu will also cover food that will not see the inside of a deep fryer. Instead, what will helm the menu will be vegetables harvested from Singapore’s very own LED farm, Golden’s very own cold pressed juices and gluten free pizzas.
Come night, The Golden Bar, with it’s well stocked chillers will be ready to serve both wanderers and cinema-goers alike with draft beer, cocktails and shoyu butter popcorn.
