To escape the drought, Ephraim's father decides to look for work in the city. He then entrusts his son to a distant cousin, living in an area spared by the disaster. For the young boy, a new life begins that he does not like and he will do everything to return to his native region. Ephraim is a young Ethiopian boy, always accompanied by his inseparable sheep. Entrusted to distant relatives, he adapts badly to his new life. One day, his uncle tells him that he will have to sacrifice his sheep for the next feast meal. But Ephraim is ready to do anything to save his only friend and return home.
