Sean Baker's Palme d'Or winner ANORA is a modern-day, coked-out Cinderella story following a New York sex worker. It's bound to sweep the Oscars next year. Say serious. What's even more serious? You can be a good person while having fun. Huh? What fun?
This special screening of ANORA with Project X! Featuring a candid conversation about how sex workers are portrayed in movies.
Hear directly from sex worker panelists as they share their thoughts on the impact these portrayals have and what they’d like to see changed.
With part of ticket proceeds going to support Project X and their meaningful work, which, in 2023 alone, included distributing 178,301 condoms, conducting 438 HIV tests, and 331 STI tests (Chlamydia and Gonorrhea), as well as handling 75 cases, primarily medical- or sexual-violence-related.
Project X is Singapore's only non-profit organisation that provides social, emotional, and health services to people in the sex industry. Project X envisions a fair and safe sex industry for everyone involved and a society that respects sex workers, their clients, partners and families.

ABOUT ANORA
Anora, a young sex worker from Brooklyn, gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as the parents set out for New York to get the marriage annulled.
The dramedy follows Anora (Mikey Madison), an Uzbek-American stripper whose boss often sets her up with Russian-speaking clients. One night, she meets Vanya (Mark Eidelstein), the wealthy young son of a Russian oligarch who pays to make her his girlfriend for the week. Unexpectedly, the two fall in love and elope - but the fairytale is threatened when Vanya's parents find out.
