Screening will be preceded by Local Filmmaker Calleen Koh's film 'My Wonderful Life'.

"I’ve always looked to this film as a source of inspiration for my own filmmaking. Even though our storytelling styles are very different, the themes it explores: shame, repression, and societal entrapment, resonate deeply with me and I have found it to become a common thread in my own films." - Director Calleen Koh.

About Perfect Blue:

The colour of illusion is Perfect Blue.

Mima Kirigoe decides to leave the J-pop idol group CHAM! to become a full-time actress. As she falls victim to stalking by her obsessive fan, gruesome murders occur, and she begins to lose her grip on reality. Kon's PERFECT BLUE explores the blurring of the line between fantasy and reality; a common theme in his other works such as Millennium Actress (2001), Paranoia Agent (2004), and Paprika (2006).

About My Wonderful Life:

Grace Lee, an overworked mom in Singapore, collapses at work. She gets admitted into the hospital, where she finds newfound freedom as a patient.
