If you missed the sold-out screenings of Plan 75 when we first released the film in 2022, don’t miss your chance to catch it again this December, and support a good cause too! We're bringing back Plan 75 with two fundraiser screenings in partnership with local non-profit ArtsWok Collaborative.
An original short film, Float Free, a touching short film on personal transformation and new beginnings will precede the main feature.
-About Plan 75-
Set in a parallel dystopian Japan, a government programme, Plan 75, encourages senior citizens to be voluntarily euthanised to remedy a super-aged society. Cash gifts, promises of dying in a 5-star resort, and going on your own terms - it’s all too good to be true. But for individuals like 78-year-old cleaner Michi and immigrant Filipino caretaker Maria - reality is not so black and white. Plan 75 captures a chilling, dystopian yet possibly real scenario for the future, but it also captures poignant moments of what being truly alive means, and the importance of community. How do our connections with others give our lives meaning? How can we support each other in community?
