A group of poor farmers threatened by bandits hire seven ronin (masterless samurai) to protect their village. The film follows the samurai as they train the villagers for the impending battle, forge bonds with them, and ultimately defend the village against the ruthless bandits. Each of the seven samurai has a distinct personality and background, adding depth to the narrative. The film is widely regarded as one of Kurosawa's masterpieces and has influenced filmmakers such as Sergio Leone and Martin Scorsese.
