Pink Screen 2024 to

Pink Screen, The Projector’s annual LGBTQIA+ film festival, returns from 31 May to 29 June this year! Featuring romantic comedies, thrillers and Asian perspectives, an exciting line-up of films that champion Queer inclusion, transgender representation and celebrate the voices of the community.

This year’s Pink Screen opens with the landmark film BUGIS STREET (1995), a portrait of Queer Singapore in the 1960s that defies categorisation and remains relevant today. We'll also have pre-show Waacking demo with Project W*ack for PEAFOWL (2024) screenings!

NBCUniversal International and The Projector are proud to announce a fundraising screening of DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS (2024), with 100% of ticket proceeds to be donated to Oogachaga, Singapore’s most established community-based, non-profit organisation working with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, couples and families since 1999.

This year, Oogachaga will celebrate a milestone anniversary, marking 25 years of affirming and supporting Singapore's LGBTQ+ community. The funds raised would go towards the cost of running their professional counselling services and youth program.

Presented by NBCUniversal International. Pink Screen is an official Pink Fest signature event.

Bugis StreetR21

Rated: R21

Limited Screenings from 12 July

First released in 1995, then banned in Singapore for 20 years before being restored & screened again in 2015.  Set against the dynamic backdrop of a foregone Singaporean era and breaking ground in its satirical, genre-blending approach, the film is an affecting socio-cultural commentary and a portrait of the 1960s working class Bugis Street district that remains relevant today.
